Our Special Focus is top quality Pomeranians in all colors-and I am Group Administrator and Owner of AKC SHOW POMERANIAN PUPPIES- one of the largest AKC show Pomeranian groups on Facebook specializing in BREEDER/EXHIBITOR ONLY posts showing proper type, conformation, soundness and health of the Pomeranian. We Specialize in superb quality health tested AKC show bloodlines. Puppies are available after completion of an ADOPTION APPLICATION and speaking with the breeder at some length. An in cabin flight puppy nanny is used to bring a new puppy to the airport closest to it's new home, or puppy may be picked up in person in Mobile, AL. An interview with the veterinarian is included and a complete written health evaluation is given at the veterinarian's for an in person pick up-or sent with the puppy nanny when the puppy is delivered. Although much misinformation is given regarding purebred dogs-we find that consulting a true expert is always the best path to good information and to owning a top quality dog. Most people would not consult their podiatrist for information regarding a heart condition. The same logic applies to finding a quality puppy and good information about the breed. To purchase a Pom from a novice opens you to the problems that often exist when there is a general lack of knowledge.
In today's world people have to deal with the incidence of SCAMMERS as well. Some tips to spot the SCAMMERS would be advertising TEACUP Pomeranians, (NO REPUTABLE BREEDER would use that terminology) to describe the tiny Poms they have. Another would be photos of Pomeranian puppies with flat faces and HUGE EYES! These are photoshopped and do not exist in real life. Another trick used by the scammers is to advertise a super low price-often not much above the shipping cost (USUALLY-shipping will be $350 to $1550 US Dollars within the USA) for a puppy, much less enough to cover the veterinary check and treatments that need to be given before a puppy can be safely sent to it's new home. If it sounds TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE-IT IS A SCAMMER! Another trick used by the scammers is to use STOLEN PHOTOS from show breeders websites and Facebook, for instance. If the breeder cannot send a picture of the SAME PUPPY or validate their ancestors show awards such as AKC CHAMPION CERTIFICATES, then they are most likely a scammer or breeder of poor quality Pomeranians. Breeders who claim to have knowledge of this breed will be able to document that knowledge. They will have produced Champions or be working toward that goal, and will have a long-term commitment toward producing healthy, beautiful, sound, and intelligent Pomeranians.
